Just 10 minutes south of San Francisco Mill Valley offers up small town charm with European flair. The housing here is as eclectic as the population; ranging from the charming old time cottages of Sycamore Park to sophisticated multi-million dollar estates tucked in the hills of Middle Ridge. The “perfect” house for any taste can be found in the three square miles that make up the town of Mill Valley.
Mill Valley is anchored by Lytton Square (affectionately known to locals as “The Depot”) and its surrounding shops and restaurants. With no less than 3 coffee shops to be found in less than a one block radius, not to mention the wonderful shops, restaurants, and easy access to the trails of Mt Tam it is easy to see why The Depot is the hub of Mill Valley for locals and visitors alike. If you are more of a night owl… step out for an evening at the Sweetwater (live music offering up great local band from jazz to rock) or over to the Throckmorton Theater for an evening of comedy at the legendary Mark Pitta and friends, where you never know who is going to show up. Surprise headliners often include Dana Carvey or Robin Williams.
Recently named #4 on Smithsonian’s 20 best small towns in America, it is understandable why so many want to call this small town home.
